Kissing collaboration
The rock band Kiss announced it has sold its catalog of songs and brand name to the Swedish company Pophouse, which was co-founded by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus, for $300 million. Kiss founder Gene Simmons called it a collaboration.
“We collaborate by giving them songs and they collaborate by giving us lots of money,” Simmons said. “We think we drove a hard bargain – we get to keep our face paint and Ulvaeus agreed to give us the two dots above the “o” in his first name.”
