Former president Bill Clinton turned his wife and former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton over to local police after she suggested those who engage in misinformation should be jailed as a deterrent.
Bill Clinton stated he could no longer in good conscious let her go on babbling about making misinformation a criminal offense when she engages in it herself like she’s eating chocolate mousse – and, boy, can she down some chocolate mousse.
“It’s for her own good, you know,” Bill Clinton said of Hillary. “We’ve tried counseling, even 12-step, but nothing seems to work. Granted, as a Democrat, spreading misinformation is pretty much in our DNA, but she takes it to an extreme. I only hope it scares her straight. Of course, as a bonus, it does open up a few more Friday and Saturday nights at my house in Chappaqua, if you catch my drift.”
Naturally, Hillary Clinton protested vehemently as she was being handcuffed and led away by the police.
“This is an outrage!” Hillary Clinton exclaimed. “I didn’t write the Steele Dossier, I only paid for it. You people need to let me be. Bill! Hey, Bill, you better do something. This was only supposed to be for Republicans!”
Bill Clinton noted that he looked forward to visiting his wife every other Sunday, except during football season.
Unfortunately for Bill, later that day police came back with a warrant for his arrest.
“What?” Clinton asked. “Monica again? But I didn’t have sex with that woman. Okay, so I did, but I only lied about it. That’s different than misinformation. What about my Friday and Saturday nights?”
President Joe Biden immediately pardoned himself for any past or future misinformation he might inadvertently let spill out.
“I…uh…Trump and then gizzuflexction,” Biden shouted.
The media dutifully reported Biden’s comments as, “These are difficult times and it is important we have a frank and healthy debate about misinformation and the First Amendment and I will vigorously defend the First Amendment for as long as I am, uh…what time is it?”
The moral of this story is to be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.
This post captured perfectly, in a satirical sense, what most of us think and know to be the truth ... Great piece Curtice.
